Advanced: How To - Add or Edit a Logo
A logo is a great way to show what your website or business is about. It is important to have a brand, and a recognizable and memorable image. In this tutorial, we will show you how to upload a logo and use it across your site. This is perfect if you have a business and already use a logo, or if you are working with us and we have designed a logo for you. However, this tutorial will not show you how to create a logo if you do not have one already.
Hot Tip! By default, your AresBuilder site title appears at the top of your page in plain text. When you upload a logo to your site, the image will replace the text title at the top of your site. Therefore, it is helpful if you have a logo that has an image, as well as the title of your site, or your business name!
To add a logo to the top of your website, first access your main site dashboard. Then, click on the green Control Panel button near the center of the page.
Once there, scroll down until you see the "Appearance" heading. Below that, you will see a button that says "Browse." Click on Browse to find the logo image file on your computer.
Once you've uploaded the image from your computer, you will see the name of your image in the grey space under logo. Click on the green Save Changes button.
Now you should see an actual image preview of your logo, instead of the grey browse rectangle. Below the preview image, you will see a check box, and the words "Clear logo." If you need to delete your logo for any reason, check this box, and click the green Save Changes button again.
Once you're happy with the logo you've uploaded, you may navigate back to your site editor to see the logo in all its glory. Notice that it now replaces the plain text site title at the top of your page.
Congratulations! You've now added a custom logo to your website!
